What is a "certified copy" of a document and how can I get one?

A certified copy is a photocopy of a document (such as passport, utility bill, birth certificate) that has been verified as being a true copy after the original document has been sighted by an authorised person.

You can get a certified copy of your documents in a Post Office, a consulate, bank manager or notary.
